Let's consider the design problems posed by the foundation area around homes and other buildings. Then, we'll look at native plants that fit into this highly visible setting. The foundation garden need not be a bastion of imports such as pachysandra and boxwood!
Among regional native plants are flowering perennials, shrubs, grasses, trees, and ferns that provide habitat for birds and pollinators and have a pleasing appearance. Let's examine how we can achieve curb appeal and also support nature in the foundation areas of our homes and community buildings.
This talk is accompanied by design resources and plant lists.
