Create Foundation Gardens With Native Plants

Date:
Friday, May 17, 2024 -
10:00am to 11:00am

Let's consider the design problems posed by the foundation area around homes and other buildings. Then, let's look at native plants and to use them in that highly visible setting. The foundation garden need not be a bastion of imports such as pachysandra and boxwood.

Among regional native plants, there are flowering perennials, shrubs, grasses, trees, and ferns that both provide habitat for birds and pollinators as well as a pleasing appearance. We can achieve curb appeal and nature support in the foundation area of our homes and community buildings.

This talk is accompanied by extensive design resources and plant lists.

Sponsored by the Darien Library in the library's Community Room, 1441Post Road, Darien, CT. Registration to be announced.
